Report - 10/14/2007

Tonight is my third session with my telescope. Last night was somewhat frustrating, what with Trying to learn the telescope an all.. Tonight was fairly successful in my eyes. I'm starting to understand how the scope moves, although under some ‘angles/directions' I have to crane my
Neck a lot. I think I'm going to consider either a right angle finder or a reflex finder.

Started off with picking an easy (but short availability) target...and picked off Jupiter. Next proceeded to target M31, which I've to date been unable to find. Last night finding it was frustrating, but tonight I succeeded; just need to be more patient.

Next I proceeded to pick off M15, CR399 (brocchi's cluster), then the Albiro (double star), then I swooped north to pick off Mizar/Alcor in Ursa Major, continuing east, I picked off the double star in Casseiopeia. Lastly, to finish off, I viewed the pleides.

Although nowhere the amount of things I wanted to see; I did purposely leave the star charts in the house.
